Day 1: Strasbourg, France (Embarkation)

Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail. We'll cruise to Mainz.

Day 2: Mainz, Germany - Franfurt

We'll arrive in Mainz early morning. This city, the birthplace of Gutenberg, which lies at the confluence of the Rhine and the Main is a perfect blend of past and present with its thousand year old cathedral. We'll tour the city with your escort before we sail on around in the morning towards Frankfurt.

The afternoon, join us for the excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Sightseeing tour of Frankfurt, a major business hub.
DISCOVERY: Frankfurt "Mainhattan” and the Main Tower: Panoramic tour of Frankfurt and ascent of the Main Tower.

Day 3: Miltenberg - Wertheim

We'll stop off in Miltenberg early this morning. Join us to discover this peaceful town with its market place lined with half-timbered houses, its fine main street, hotel Reisen and old Town Hall. We'll have lunch on board before continuing on to Wertheim. Enjoy some free time to discover the town on your own before returning to the ship for dinner.

Day 4: Wertheim - Wurzburg

We'll cruise towards Karlstadt. In the afternoon, join us on an excursion common for both Classic and Discovery excursions packages: Visit Wurzburg on the right bank of the Main, which is famous for its baroque palace, former residence of the prince-bishops. In the meantime, the ship cruises on to Wurzburg where we will join it late afternoon. We'll then cruise to Kitzingen. Enjoy an evening of onboard entertaining.

Day 5: Schweinfurt - Bamberg

Early this morning we'll start cruising along the Main to reach Schweinfurt. Join us on an excursion common for both Classic and Discovery excursions packages: Guided tour to Rothenburg, a magnificent walled town set up high on the hills over the river, with its narrow streets lined with picturesque half-timbered houses and craftsmen's workshops. It is indeed one of the most beautiful towns on the Romantic Road. In the meantime the ship will cruise on to Schweinfurt where we will join it, before continuing on to Bamberg.

Day 6: Bamberg - Nurnberg - Muhlausen

This morning will be spent cruising on the Rhine-Main-Danube canal, which was opened on 25th September 1992. We'll have lunch on board before arriving in Nurnberg early afternoon. Join us on an excursion for both excursions packages: Visit of Nuremberg We'll enjoy a panoramic visit of the monuments found outside of the city's medieval walls before arriving in the Marktplatz. On foot, you'll see the gorgeous Schöner Brunnen and the Frauenkirche. During our tour, we'll stop and taste one of the local specialties, Lebkuchen, the city's famous gingerbread. We'll return to the ship during the afternoon and sail on to reach Muhlhausen in the evening. Enjoy an evening of onboard entertainment.

Day 7: Regensburg

This morning will be spent cruising to Kelheim. Join us on an excursion common for both packages: Visit of Regensburg, which is the fourth biggest town in Bavaria and also a major industrial hub - with major firms such as BMW, Siemens and Triumph. The historic centre of the city has kept all its original charm with souvenirs of over 20 centuries. In the meantime, the ship cruises on to join us in Regensburg.

Day 8: Passau

This morning will be spent cruising towards Passau. Enjoy some free time to visit the town on your own. Its baroque buildings and narrow romantic streets are unforgettable. Return to ship and sail on through the attractive region of Engelhartszell. Enjoy an evening of onboard entertainment.

Day 9: Melk, Austria - Durnstein - Vienna

The morning will be spent cruising to reach Melk early in the morning, join us on an excursion common for both excursions packages: Visit of the abbey of Melk, perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Danube. It is the symbol of Austrian baroque at its finest. We'll return to the ship at the end of the morning and sail on to Dürnstein, arriving there for lunch around noon. Enjoy some free time to explore this picturesque village, and its baroque church, which is the most famous in the Wachau region thanks to the legend of King Richard the Lion Heart. We'll return on board in the afternoon before sailing on to Vienna. Putting in for the night in Vienna. Join us on an excursion common for both excursions packages: Tour of the illuminated sights of the city.

Day 10: Vienna

Join us for the excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Visit to the palace of Schöbrunn with its magnificent park.
DISCOVERY: The high art of Viennese living: music and Viennese cafes. Tour of the Konzerthaus concert hall (Note: The tour of the Konzerthaus might be replaced by a tour of the Musikverein or the opera if it is booked for shows or not available).

Enjoy a free afternoon to tour this magnificent city on your own or join us on an OPTIONAL excursion: Horse-drawn carriage ride though Vienna. We'll then cruise towards Esztergom, passing Bratislava on the way. Tonight is our dinner and gala evening on board.

Day 11: Esztergom, Hungary - Budapest

Enjoy some free time to visit Esztergom on your own, the former capital of Hungary, under the reign of the Arpad kings. Today, it is still a prominent town and the seat of the Hungarian archbishops. Esztergom is decidedly full of treasures with its neo-classical basilica and former Royal palace. We'll set sail once again around noon. Enjoy lunch on board before arriving in Budapest midafternoon. The Hungarian capital which lies along the banks of the Danube, also known as the "pearl of the Danube” is one of the most attractive cities in Europe. Enjoy some free time to explore the city before returning to the ship for dinner. Join us on an excursion common for both excursions packages: Visit of Budapest "by night".

Day 12: Budapest

Enjoy a day on your own, or join us on an excursion for both packages: Guided tour of Budapest.

This afternoon, enjoy some free time or join us on OPTIONAL excursions (not included in the excursions packages): Discover Gellert baths and spa -or- Budapest Market Halls (Note: The market halls of Budapest are closed on Sundays, they will be replaced by the visit of the Jewish quarter followed by a tasting of Hungarian products.)

After dinner, enjoy a free evening or join us on an excursion common for both packages: traditional folk evening in Budapest.

Day 13: Budapest (Disembarkation)

Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9:00 a.m. End of our services.

Day 1: Budapest, Hungary (Embarkation)

Day 2: Budapest - Esztergom

Join us on an excursion common for both Classic and Discovery excursions packages: Guided tour of Budapest. We'll return on board in Esztergom. In the afternoon, enjoy some time on your own exploring the former capital of Hungary. The city is full of treasures such as the Neo-classical basilica and former Royal palace. We'll return on board and depart for Vienna. Enjoy an evening of entertainment.

Day 3: Vienna, Austria

Upon arriving in Vienna, join us for an excursion common for both Classic and Discovery excursions packages: A visit to the Hofburg Palace, former residence of the Hapsburgs.

Tonight, join us on an excursion common for both Classic and Discovery packages: Tour Vienna by night.

Day 4: Vienna

This morning, join us for the excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Guided tour of the Schoenbrunn Palace, the summer residence of the Imperial family, followed by a panoramic tour of Vienna.
DISCOVERY: The high art of Viennese living, music and Viennese cafes. We'll stroll through the city and visit back stage in the Konzerthaus concert hall (Note: The tour of the Konzerthaus might be replaced by a tour of the Musikverein or the opera if it is booked for shows or not available). After our tour, enjoy a steaming cup of Vienna Coffee and a delicious pastry.

Enjoy a free afternoon to explore this marvelous city at your own pace -or- take part in our OPTIONAL excursion (not included in excursions packages): Horse-drawn carriage ride through the old town and the famous Ring road in Vienna.

This evening, join us on an OPTIONAL excursion (not included in excursions packages): Concert of Viennese music (subject to availability.)

Day 5: Melk

We'll cruise along the most beautiful section of the Wachau Valley this morning, arriving in Melk in the morning. We'll then set off on an excursion common for both Classic and Discovery excursions packages: Tour of Dürnstein, the fortified village where Richard the Lionheart was once held prisoner.

In the afternoon, join us on an excursion for common both excursions packages: Visit the Melk Abbey. Originally a Baroque-style palace built between 1702 and 1736, it is now a Benedictine monastery that hosts a prestigious coed school with more than 900 students. We'll return on board and cruise towards Passau. Enjoy an evening of entertainment.

Day 6: Passau, Germany

We'll set out to explore Passau in the company of hostess, strolling the narrow romantic streets and admiring is Baroque-style buildings. We'll then cruise to Regensburg through the night.

Day 7: Regensburg - Kelheim

Join us on an excursion common for both excursions packages: Guided tour of Regensburg and the Walhalla hall of fame which overhangs the river. We'll return on board in Kelheim and cruise the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal to Nuremberg.

Day 8: Nuremberg - Erlangen - Bamberg

We'll arrive in Nuremberg in the morning. Join us on an excursion common for both excursions packages: Guided tour of the city and tasting of its famous gingerbread. We'll return on board in Erlangen and start sailing towards Bamberg. Our ship will cruise through the night.

Day 9: Bamberg - Schweinfurt - Gerlachshausen

We'll spend this morning cruising to Schweinfurt. Join us on an excursion common for both excursions packages: Tour of Rothenburg, one of the oldest cities in Germany. This magnificent walled town located on the historic Roman Road has managed to keep its authentic charm. We'll return on board in Gerlachshausen. Our ship will cruise through the night.

Day 10: Würzburg - Karlstadt - Wertheim

Join us on an excursion common for both excursions packages: Guided tour of Würzburg and the former Residence of the Prince-Bishops of Würzburg. We'll return on board in Karlstadt. Our ship will cruise through the night.

Day 11: Wertheim - Miltenberg - Frankfurt

We'll set out to explore Miltenberg in the company of our hostess and discover this charming, very typical German village. Its marketplace surrounded by half-timbered houses, its Grande Rue and former Town Hall make Miltenberg a unique town and the "pearl of the Main". We'll cruise to Frankfurt.

Day 12: Frankfurt - Mainz

Join us for the excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Tour of Frankfurt.
DISCOVERY: Panoramic tour of Frankfurt and ascent of the Main Tower.

We'll return on board and cruise to Mainz. Gutenberg's hometown, Mainz lies at the confluence of the Rhine and the Main and is a perfect blend of past and present. Its age-old cathedral is not to be missed. You'll be able to explore the city in the company of our hostess. Tonight is our gala dinner and evening.

Day 13: Strasbourg, France (Disembark)

Enjoy buffet breakfast on board as we cruise towards Strasbourg, passing through two impressive locks on the Rhine, Iffezheim and Gambsheim. We'll reach Strasbourg at 2:00 p.m. and disembark after lunch. End of our services.
